Nikon D3100 reviewed again! I know that I’ve already made a review on Nikon D3100. But yesterday, a friend telling me that he is not quiet understands about my Nikon D3100 review. So I tried to talk to him in a different view like the reasons why I love Nikon D3100 rather than its technical view.

Here is what I told to him. For the very fist time you’ll notice that Nikon D3100 has 14.2-megapixel DX format CMOS image sensor. That’s allows higher resolution and 1080p movie capture at 24 fps, oh….wait with the sound of course. Well actually you can only capture a 10-minutes video clip. But it is a rare feature for a SLR camera at this price, so I think it’s a good additional point for D3100.

In addition Nikon D3100 is equipped with One Touch Live View which allows one-touch activation for live view. Simple feature but very useful isn’t it?

When you zoomed out, the lens is wide angle because it has 3x zoom 18-55mm lens which also means that the object will be three times larger when zoomed out.

OK here is the best thing and probably the main reason why I’m so loyal with Nikon Camera, the NIKKOR VR Stabilization. Well I know that you can understand its function just by reading its name. Basically it’s a vibration reduction that enables at up shooting to three shutter speeds slower.

Some people will think that the image stabilization technology will stabilize the image motion. Well, its not! It will reducing the camera motion not image motion. But it is a great technology. In fact I won’t buy a camera without image stabilization.

Just in case you haven’t noticed, Nikon D3100 is much cheaper than any others Digital SLR cameras. Its price is under $1, 000 which is cheaper than Nikon D300. Its price along with its features makes the D3100 ideal for beginner photographers who ready to step to the next level.

That’s not all; this is also a very lightweight digital SLR camera, only 1.11 pounds. Well don’t compare it to compact camera or micro four thirds cameras. It is somehow very light for SLR camera.

D-Lighting technology also applied on this camera. It’s able to reproduce a realistic image that retains natural contrast. However not every photographers love it. I myself, sometimes I’m activated the D-Lighting and sometimes not. Well you can make your own choice and you’ll see the different between them.

Overall if you’re looking for a digital SLR camera under $1, 000 with powerfull features and simple operation then I could say that Nikon D3100 is the suitable camera for you.
