In this way, supposedly, the zooming is much easier and faster to go out of hand. Other rumors speak of a 22.5 to 810 mm zoom lens with 36x zoom power and a 12-megapixel CMOS image sensor with background lighting. In the image sensor, it could be a product of the Japanese manufacturer Sony.

The Nikon Coolpix P500 is to follow the Nikon Coolpix P100. This works only with a 26-times zoom and features a 12.3-megapixel image sensor. The camera is already at some retailers no longer available, which suggests that the P500 can not be long in coming.

At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), a representative of the manufacturer Nikon had already pointed out, that the measure the next generation of point-and-shoot or compact camera, especially in the quality of the zoom. In this way, the extra wheel makes in collaboration with the high-power zoom, the Coolpix P500 sense. Above all, the camera should be placed in a small box and therefore get away with it equally compact as powerful.
