Active G1-I is a step further: You can attach a small Visor glasses containing a tiny LCD screen. The advantage is that you record what you see. The manufacturer writes "What you see is what you keep" on the package.
However, there a few limitations exist. First of all the mini screen comes with the very low resolution of 320x240 pixels. So that user can hardly grasp writing. The query "Delete this - Yes / No" for instance, which appears when you hit by mistake or on purpose the delete button. In addition, very bright sunlight is completely overshadowed, and then you have to leave like the competition that you will have already pressed the right button intuitively.
This requires a good memory. There are in fact the functions of four buttons in two modes to keep in mind. Sure, you can always remove the glasses and study the importance of the printed icons. But this is troublesome, because the spectacle frame is very rigid. Extra offers so Joker in two sizes: M for small heads, XL for the big ones. The difference lies in the width of the ridge between the eyes - unfortunately not in the decor, because the military look, I can not befriend me so well.
The Active-can I take photographs and film - both in the same resolution at 640x480. Which is enough for a video is in photo mode far too little. About image quality I need not therefore say much. Once you insert such a card, draws the eye to it. In any case, it does so, in reality remains blank card. That it was not to my memory card, I have checked with the help of the belt camera by Pearl, namely the fact it works.
It is also very well without memory card. There are, after all, two gigabytes of built-in. The battery has a bit more stamina, it holds when the Visor 1.5 hours, without the cyborg-essay about two hours. For transfer to PC or Mac, as usual, is a USB cable, over which the battery is also supplied with fresh energy. The Visor can be connected using the supplied AV cable also to a TV, then there are videos in close-up. Also, the manufacturer settled a stable sleeve for glasses and accessories.
The combination of camcorder and Visor is interesting, but not optimally implemented. Sun Active-I still works more like a toy.
