How to Use “Smile” Mode on Canon PowerShot C95

Canon PowerShot S95 equipped with various automatic modes that will simplify the daily management of the compact digital camera.

One popular feature is the automatic smile to shots people: The camera facial features analyzed the frame and triggers when a smile seen. The smile feature on Canon PowerShot C95 recognizes the typical angle of the mouth, and change the visibility of the tooth part – so if the object smile with mouth closed, could possibly fail the automatic smile feature.

How to use the feature on Canon Powershot S95:
  1. Turn on the Canon Powershot S95 digital camera with the ON / OFF button operation.
  2. Set the mode dial to the "SCN".
  3. Press the FUNC SET button and select the "Smile” (a small digital camera icon with a laughing smiley) with the left and right D-pad.
  4. Press the DISP button. The Canon Powershot S95 is ready: Set the lens to the light to the person or the group of people. The activation will proceed automatically, as soon as the Canon Powershot S95 detects a smile.
Please note that the smile stays activated until it told not to do so. So if you want any more pictures, select a different SCN mode on Canon PowerShot S95
