The resolution ranges up to 14 megapixels. The 26 mm wide-angle lens from Carl Zeiss can enlarge the picture up to four times optical. Meanwhile, the SteadyShot image stabilization ensures shake-free as possible results, which represent just in high zoom positions is a challenge.

The remaining equipment of the simple-designed camera corresponds in many ways older DSC models: The Sony 230-degree pan view is just as much on board, along with numerous scene modes iAUTO detection. This touch of a button with a view of the recorded scene - even before taking Sony DSC-W530, the required settings on their own.

Sony DSC-W530: How good is it?

The price at a glance is quite favorable. At the same time the manufacturer has not saved on the case, what else in this class really is always the case: the digital camera looks decent, quality, and with its light weight pleasantly unremarkable - an ideal companion for all everyday situations. Measured by the price the offered equipment is laudable: Sony integrates many scene modes and useful automatic. Operating the menu is beginner-friendly and mostly self-explanatory: a view into the manual, you can typically save.

Unfortunately Sony DSC-W530 supports only the old VGA resolution, offers no zoom during video recording and records the sound only in mono quality. In short, the video mode is good for nothing. The lens of the device is mediocre, which the user will notice, especially in wide angle. Equally annoying, Sony DSC-W530 comes with a slow switch-on and a low-resolution TV screen.

Conclusion

At first glance, Sony DSC-W530 looks an above average budget camera, the white with a particularly good processing and a compact format to please. In detail, the device turns out as a bluff: The movie is at the level of 2005, the total handling too slow - the handsome face of the housing just won’t help.
