How to remove haze and fog of photos?

Haze, fog and dust can enhance a photo absolutely atmosphere: A one mountain, disappearing behind a thick wall of fog appears, for example, a particularly dramatic and mystical.

Yet such impressions are the exception rather: It usually is the object that the photographer wanted to move into focus, obscured in this way rather impractical. Technically speaking, dust and fog are shown as a cluster of pixels with a grayish to white color. The distribution of these dots you see when you enter the histogram of the photo. Such a function is hidden in most digital cameras under "Settings"> "Settings"> "Histogram". For detailed instructions please your operating manual on hand.

The histogram is a kind of chart showing the distribution of pixels between the two extremes of black and white graphics. When dust and mist, the histogram should tend, in most cases white direction.

Missing picture elements of the building, which are overlaid by the fog, or dust, can conjure up an image editing program such as "Photoshop" is not natural. It can, however, the pixels with a particularly high accumulation change so that moves the overall impression of the recording after all for the better. Particularly simple is the auto mode can be accessed via the keyboard shortcut CTRL + SHIFT + L.

Also in the adjustments menu, see the "Auto Color" (keyboard shortcut CTRL + SHIFT + ALT + L). This is especially true if part of the photo of a clear color line is crossed.
