This camera takes mainly smart photos straight out of the box. there is no real got to play with the settings that i prefer. My main use for this camera is photographing folks, and that i most popular using the quality Auto setting as critical the portrait scene setting - in portrait, the images were largely to a small degree too pink. the quality auto setting reproduces skin tones nicely. It will appear to be to a small degree soft on detail indoors though - you cannot extremely tell it's 14mp unless you are outdoors on a sunny day.
One gripe is that the processing speed - even with a fast card, once you're taking a photograph it takes a decent eight seconds before the camera is prepared to require another one. that is annoying if you only missed 'the' shot, and then successive chance happens whereas you are awaiting the camera to type itself out.
The video quality may even be higher - particularly on the sound front, and it suffers badly from over exposure in sunny out of doors settings. thus do not buy this camera if you are looking for the simplest of each worlds, however if you only wish smart footage for an affordable worth this can be a contender.
Read all the reviews for all the tiny Olympus, Cannon, Panasonic, et al. Used my girlfriend's Cannon. set that since an recent Olympus E100RS Sports Photographers model was the simplest I even have EVER used i might stick with the whole.
I love this small thing! it's laborious to carry still on long tele shots and that i doubt i'll ever get used to not having a viewfinder however I still am fond of it. Have used it in Program mode largely and played with some programed Scene shooting. Love the Super Macro better of all. Have some nice shut ups of my honeybees.
It has pretty clear image taking capabilites and is incredibly USER FRIENDLY. Panaramic operate works amazingly well. The camera itself may be a nice size and appears pretty slick, it does not seem like an inexpensive camera. i feel anyone would be pleased with this purchase. it's a HDMI port and might take SDHC memory cards. You charge the camera battery with the battery within the camera, and also the power wire is plugged into the camera itself, that's a pleasant feature, to not have to be compelled to pull the battery out all the time to charge(like the coolpix i have). The buttons light when touched momentarily and also the camera incorporates a nice power save option; all nice options.
