Here is the best digital camera 2011:
It handles difficult situations with grace. Sunset with sky and foreground properly exposed. Delivery room newborn with no flash and low ambient lighting. Black and white is fantastic
This camera offers many of the features of a more expensive camera. And there is no need to buy a lot of extra expensive lenses as you would for a DSLR.
The camera has all the basic features you would want, and several that are kind of neat. Manual on the fly brightness, hue, and vividness adjustments can be handy, the skin softening feature turns your subjects into super models, and the ISO sensitivity range is above average. It has a wind noise reduction option while taking video, and all the features you would use the most are easily and quickly accessible.
The first thing I noticed about this camera was the nearly instant focus speed. It works great in pretty much any lighting and just blows any other compact digital camera I've used out of the water. This camera dispenses with all the fancy processing to determine which zone or face to focus on - and just focuses in the center like a point-and-shoot film camera would have done
The new DIGIC 4 processor for the camera provides many features not found on older generations of Canon Cameras. The price is exceptionally reasonable considering all you get. Being forced to use the LCD screen for everything drains the battery fast, but it does have an auto shut-off to conserve energy.
The FX700 does a fairly good job in poor lighting if you are able the keep the ISO setting below 400 ISO, slow the camera exposure down, and have your subject remain perfectly still. The best strategy however is to do like the pros. Don't take photos in badly lit scenes.
The touch was just as good as the nikon but it also has the accelerometer to go through the pics. Plus you can do stuff like draw an X on the screen to delete them. Its just so well done.
The 'Super Intelligence Flash' mode is awesome. It controls the level of flash for a given exposure to produce beautifully balanced flash illumination across the foreground and background, suitable for shooting macro and close-up portrait.
The camera is easy to use and takes wonderful pictures. This camera comes with all the bells and whistles but unfortunately the important ones, pictures and picture quality, fall way way short.
The strong point on the camera is the rugged, waterproof design. If you are looking for a good camera for low light e.g. taking pictures at a club or concert this camera will capture images very well 100% satified!
