Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 is on the way

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3: Smallest Digital Camera with lens exchange

The third derivative of the GF-family corporate ethos of Panasonic product paths and gone its own way: Much more compact and lighter than its sister models, yet with a sophisticated touch screen control and interchangeable lenses.

Only months after the launch of the Panasonic GF2 already follows the narrower 16 percent and noticeably lighter Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3. The new model will attract users of typical camera phones and small cameras, because here they have more control and more options are provided, without complicating the matter. One of the best innovations is the touchscreen display.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 records 1080p video with stereo sound. The 12-megapixel sensor provides better sensitivity in low light conditions and view the full-auto focus from the sister model GH2. There is a small folding-flash, auto mode with manual overrides and four body colors.

Most notable would be the lens; 14 to 42 mm focal length. Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 priced for about $700 and will be available this summer.
