Nikon Coolpix L23: Cheapest Compact Camera

With the price for less than $145 one might think that it is a camera from Taiwan manufacturers, but no… this is a Nikon camera!

How a famous camera manufacturer such as Nikon could makes a very cheap camera without downgrading its performance and quality?

Fist, the sensor chip is limited to 10 MP, sound bad but actually you don’t need more than 10 MP unless you’ll make a giant poster photograph. Nikon Coolpix L23 also doesn’t have stabilizer on it.

The photos quality is much better than the iPhone 4 camera, and perhaps better than most cameras at this price. It is a very simple camera that no manual setting on it, just point and shoot.

The Nikon Coolpix S23 still has a movie recording capabilities in 640x480 pixels. This compact camera is pretty responsive and it uses AA battery which you can get anywhere for replacement.

This is a perfect camera for traveling in high crime rate countries. With a small amount of money you can have a compact camera from famous manufacturer.
