Nikon D300

Nikon D300 reduced the gap between the semi-professional and professional class. Only separate the nuances of the high-end DSLR models.

On the dust-and splash-proof magnesium and plastic casing itself has compared to its predecessor, the D200, not much changing on the outside-look.

A big different comes from the 3 "display, which features a live view function. It presents the subject with 307 000 pixels is high resolution and the wide viewing angle from almost any perspective with a clear picture.

The superb Penta Prism viewfinder now offers frame coverage of 95% with a magnification of 0.62. Selectable Grid Line display helps the precise alignment of the camera.
The operating concept adopted from Nikon D200 with more user-friendly improvements. Many important functions are accessible from the Nikon D300 directly through quick shortcuts.

The image quality proved to be excellent in the test. The resolution values are very good and were compared to its predecessor the D300 are significantly improved, even if the resolution to image the edge wears off a little. The resolution scores are above the theoretical possibilities of the sensor, what better noise performance makes it all the more commendable: even at high ISO noise is hardly discernible. However, uses in JPEG mode at sensitivities over ISO 800, a noise filter, which leads to reduced resolution. Even without D-Lightning-function the dynamic range is very high.
