Sigma DP2x

Sigma continues the DP2x series, and has now made a preliminary announcement on price and release date.

The successor of the Sigma DP2 and Sigma DP2 S will come in late April at a price of around $800 on the market. The buyer will get a 14 MP camera, which should be distinguished mainly by its fast auto focus. The DP2x is suitable for fast motion object. Furthermore, a Foveon X3 sensor on board, working with the Analog Front End (AFE), which is installed in the DP1x and SD15. The AEF converts the color data recorded in a digital signal and can thus provide high-resolution images.

These are recorded in 3:2 aspect ratios. On admission, the Sigma DP2x offers eight settings, which are optimized for different light situations from sun up to neon. The image sensor of DP2x has a pixel size of 7.8 microns, and measures 20.7 mm x 13.8 mm. He is as great as in the Sigma digital SLR cameras. Also includes the DP2x the "TRUE II" image processor, which has been specifically designed to work with the 3-layer Foveon X3 sensor.

The new Sigma DP2x comes with Sigma Photo Pro4.0 DP2x the software, which will allow the improved processing of images in RAW format.
