Olympus VG-110 Digital Camera Review

Olympus VG-110: Priced for $100

Olympus VG-110 launched on February 2011. The digital camera priced for $100, despite its very good price there lies beautiful, modern and stylish compact camera.

The VG-100 comes with dimension of 0.8 x 2.1 x 1.9 inches and 4.5 ounces; pretty slim. The 12 MP sensor should be enough for good quality photos. This is an objective which is the largest photographic aperture of f2.9 already pretty bright. The minimum focal length is 27 millimeters - and the wide angle assures you to full picture. This is a perfect compact camera for traveler.

Olympus VG-110: Quality & performance

While the combination of optics, image sensor and aperture at wide angle are very good the digital image stabilizer is a disadvantage. To avoid camera shake, ISO light sensitivity is increased. This increases the risk of noise and should be limited manually to ISO 200 or maximum of 400. The electronics in Olympus VG-110 digital camera recognize up to 16 faces in group photos and adjust the optimal focus and exposure.

In the Panorama Wizard; up to three photos are combined to form a panoramic view. You just have to see in the picture before releasing snippets superposing - makes the rest of the camera by itself.

Unfortunately Olympus VG-110 only records video on 640 x 480 pixels, but of course you cannot expect 1080p video resolution with $100.
