Panasonic Lumix DMC-G3: New micro four thirds digital camera from Panasonic

Panasonic Lumix DMC-G3 introduced by Panasonic as the latest micro four thirds system camera from Panasonic. The digital camera claimed as smallest and lightest MFT camera with integrated electronic viewfinder. In addition, it features a newly developed Live MOS sensor and a video function with full HD resolution.

The Live MOS sensor of Panasonic Lumix DMC-G3 offers a resolution of 16.0 megapixels with sensitivity range of ISO 160-6400 at full resolution. By a revised circuit technology, the noise level should very low, despite the higher resolution and offer significantly better at ISO 3200, an increase of 6 dB and 9 dB at 6400. With 16.0 mega pixels, the maximum frame rate is 4 fps. In addition, you can record up to 20 frames per second at a reduced size of only 4.0 MP.

The Lumix DMC-G3 offers a Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels at 50 frames per second. The alternative is a 720p HD mode with 1,280 x 720 pixels at 50 frames per second. Both recorded in AVCHD format with 17 megabits per second. During the video recording also includes an electronic tele converter that evaluates only the central region of the sensor with Full HD resolution and provides a 4.8x zoom. The kit lens at 42mm receives the actual focal length of a simulated focal length of just 200mm and a small image-equivalent focal length of 400mm. You can record sound laudability in four stages stereo microphone.

The new sensor enhances the read speed for the contrast AF of 60 frames per second, equivalent to previous models, to 120 frames per second.
