Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX100V is one of the latest compact cameras that equipped with GPS. The front of the flat housing with no protruding parts is dominated by a large gate, which the user must open to expose the lens. The back takes a touch screen almost completely.

The inner lens of the DSC-TX100V offers a four times zoom. Converted into the small picture format, the focal length ranges from 25 to 100 millimeters. The auto focus is pleasantly fast.

User of Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX100V may determine Aperture or shutter speed, thanks to the fifteen scene programs and a program mode. The "intelligent" and "superior" automatic allows the camera to do all settings.

The same principle also works the 3-D panorama pan in which the camera tries also to making even a three-dimensional image effect. With the 3D still image and the 3D multi-angle swivel allows simple production of 3D content. The spatial effect of the recording depends a lot on the particular subject matter and other technical equipment (3D-TV etc.).

On the back of Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX100V there is a 3.5-inch panel, which serves as a viewfinder, and control element for image reproduction. The OLED display has a high resolution of 1.2 MP and offers a well-recognizable image with many details. The viewing angles are each approximately 160 degrees from a good size. Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX100V: Image quality

At first glance, the images of the DSC-TX100V affect contrast and colorful. On closer inspection it is noticeable that there is a lack of detail in the photographs and the contours are very blurred. The reason for this may be the number of pixels on the small image sensor.

The image noise is surprisingly very low. Only with a light sensitivity of ISO 400 slight disturbances can be seen. Even at ISO 3200 the noise is very low if the image reduced to a quarter of the size.

The auto focus provides a sharp image, the automatic white balance works, however slowly and needed a moment to adjust the exposure settings to changing light conditions. During video recording the four-time zoom is available and the two stereo microphones provide a well-understand tone.

The plastic housing of the DSC-TX100V was properly processed, defects can not be identified.

The DSC-TX100V stores photos and videos, either from an SD card or Memory Stick. The power is supplied by a lithium-ion battery, the charging can be found on the USB port on the bottom of the camera. On the side of the housing there is an HDMI connection to transmit the full HD video.

Conclusion

The controller is too complicated and the picture quality has significant shortcomings. It can not also hide the flat design and large equipment.
