How do I use backlighting for my photos?

Many counter-light shots will not succeed. But who knows they meet, met exciting artistic accents that can take a photograph into something special. The classical recording lens is the holiday on the beach Photo: When the sun morning or afternoon, not far from the horizon, it inevitably falls into the background of many motives. The result: The picture is in the truest sense of the word "overwhelmed", it is seen that almost nothing more. Accordingly, the colors fade into the background. Properly exploited, the latter effect leads to creative light fringes, which are flanked by outlines and contours.

This may be the object color in many bright colors in the image "shape": very exciting for the inclusion of transparent objects with back light. Try this in context, for example, the inclusion of a reddish or blue-colored vase or a window.

Especially compact cameras offer this almost always a back light scene mode, which adjusts the image output device parameters accordingly. Often the program is called simply "Backlight". If such should not exist, look for a motif program for beach or snow scenes, as asked of the camera have similar requirements.

One classic measure is also compared against the light against the light: You will activate the flash of your camera, even when the sun shines ever so brightly. The visibility of the subject is increased in many cases, at least in places. Since the total exposure fails very problematic, is recommended for DSLR equipment and also a bracketing.
